Queen St pedestrian mall. We are up against Heart of the City on this one. We want a pedestrian mall that prohibits private through traffic. Of 227 submissions 112 wanted same amount of traffic. ACC survey of people who parked on Queen St most said they will still shop if they could not park.

Kepa Bush – Selwyn College – St Johns ridge walkway. We need to set up a meeting with Roy, Christine and Hugh to prompt the formation of this walkway.

Rate can be spent on Public Transport and Walking. We would like to be involved to encourage walking and health..
Andy to write to Janine Bell Manager Transport Planning ACC to congratulate on the 14 walking and pedestrian related projects and we would like to be involved in the consultation process
Rumor has it that the changes to the road rules includes something about cars on footpaths.

The Nissan Micra advert that shows a car parked on the foot path has been reported to the Advertising Standards Authority
Andy to write a letter to CEO Nissan expressing concern.
Newton Rd. Andy wrote a letter to Mr. Flanagan but has not heard back
