Letters to any council should be addressed to the officer or committee in that area and a copy needs to go to the CEO

Aims for this year·
To do Street Audits using the form on the Living Street Aotearoa web site·
Support the increase of dollars spent on paths as it a form of transport·
Connect walkways in the region and the parks and reserves with walkways·
Ban left turning cars on the green man traffic signal·
We want all controlled roads crossings to be Barnes dances·
Keep vegetation clear of paths·
Improved signage of walkways·
Pedestrian, accessibly and shortcut maps need to be created·
More pedestrian refuges especially opposite bus stops·
T intersections should have splinter islands·
District plan changes that generate dollars from the sale of public land should have a percentage spent on new and improving walkways

We will do a stunt aimed at pointing out overgrowing vegetation on paths and how it is a problem.

Newton Rd, Auckland has only one place to cross the road
Andy will write to ACC TARS Joseph Flanagan to point this out and ask for more crossing points.

We are represented by Mary Shnackenberg. Andy to ask for an update from her.
Invitations should be sent to Richard Simpson of the ACC and Joel Cayford of the ARC to attend a meeting.

Queen St pedestrianisation has been stymied by shopkeepers.
Graeme East will follow-up and figure out the best approach to stop this.
City Scene has plan changes advertised. We need to follow these up with letters asking ‘Have you considered the pedestrian routes’

The ACC plans to sell reserves to Coca Cola in Mt Wellington. We will make a submission asking for the money to be spent locally on walkways.
